We are committed to promoting the African cultural heritage to children between the ages of 0 to 11. We endeavour to deliver platforms and experiences for children to discover, perform, transform, laugh, imagine, think, create, experiment, and have fun doing so.
At AfriKidZ, we believe that connecting children to their cultural heritage creates a stronger sense of self-identity, a growth in confidence, and an incredible feeling of belonging to their community. We want children to discover and embrace their African identity, and to celebrate their cultural values and traditions.
To build a sustainable cultural legacy for our children so that they thrive and grow into the best possible versions of themselves. We want to help build an environment where our children can be proud of where they come from and capable of enlightening others about their beautiful culture.
We aim to raise WELL-BALANCED AND CULTURED LEADERS who;
Are connected to their cultural heritage by learning & understanding of their language.
Have a strong sense of self-identity in a multicultural world.
Recognise & integrate with their cultural heritage.
Confidently celebrate, share and enlighten others about their culture.
AfriKidZ Club is a social enterprise, which started off as Ile Eko C.I.C. in 2018. We ran summer camps and events promoting the Yoruba Culture and Language to young children. And we were recognised but our work in the community by achieving a short-listing for the Thames Valley Business and Community Award in 2019.
Due to our success, we were approached by other communities and investors to expand our scope to include other African cultures. This resulted to AfriKidZ Club in December 2019.
